An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Emma, the 1932 Clarence Brown maid-marries-rich-widower family relationship romantic comedy melodrama (about a heroic turn of the century maid who works for a rich family and after the wife dies, the husband marries her, but the man's children protest her inheriting his wealth, and she renounces it and resumes working as a maid!) starring Marie Dressler (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Emma), Richard Cromwell, Jean Hersholt, Myrna Loy, and John Miljan. Note that I have never seen this movie, but it is said that Marie Dressler gives her finest performance here, but she had already won an Academy Award the previous year, so the Academy gave the 1932 award to another wonderful actress, Helen Hayes!
