An Original Vintage 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm] News Photo (Learn More)

Leslie Howard was a top English star from the 1910s to the 1940s. Some of his movies include: Gone With the Wind, Pygmalion (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), In Which We Serve, Forty-Ninth Parallel, Berkeley Square (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), and The Petrified Forest. Howard was at the height of his popularity when he passed away in 1943 at the age of 50, when the plane he was in was shot down by Germans AND Mary Pickford was a Canadian actress from the 1900s to the 1930s. She was one of the top silent actresses, who specialized in playing young girl roles as an adult, and she was called "America's Sweetheart", and when she married Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. in 1920, the country rejoiced (and the country mourned when they divorced in 1936!). Some of her movies include: Little Annie Rooney (in the title role), Sparrows, My Best Girl, Coquette (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; in the title role), and Tess of the Storm Country. She passed away in 1979 at the age of 87.

Condition: very good. Note that the still is rippled in the top and bottom bottom center (because of the snipe glued to the back) and that causes it to not lay completely flat. This causes "distortion" in our image because it does not lay completely flat in our scanner, but this distortion is solely in our digital image, and NOT in the still itself.
