An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

The Dancing Masters, the 1943 Malcolm St. Clair (billed as "Mal St. Clair") screwball comedy ("Suggested by a story by George Bricker") starring Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy (Laurel & Hardy), Trudy Marshall, Robert Bailey, Matt Briggs, Margaret Dumont, Allan 'Rocky' Lane, and Robert Mitchum. Note that Robert Mitchum appeared in one of many uncredited roles early in his career, two years before his break-out role in Story of G.I. Joe.

Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two different examples of this one-sheet. One of two examples was reconsigned to us in 2023 (the original buyer had it linenbacked before reconsigning it to us), and that same example has now been reconsigned to us once again, so this is STILL only one of two examples we have ever auctioned!

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had diagonal paper loss in the top right blank corner and also in the bottom right corner, slightly extending into the small credits. It also had some small tears and tiny paper loss on parts of the folds. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
