eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 3a013 LOT OF 10 MELOY BROS. 40X60S '35 - '36 Shirley Temple, Wallace Beery, Dionne Quints & more! Date Sold 6/26/2011Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 10 Meloy Bros. 40x60 posters. Note that these ten posters are special 40" by 60" posters that were created by the "Meloy Bros. Inc" company of Shelbyville, Indiana in 1935 and 1936! This company created special 40" x 60" posters that were distributed to theaters in the Midwest, and are NOT like 40" x 60" posters that were created by the studios at that time. VERY IMPORTANT! CLICK ON THIS LINK TO READ FULL INFORMATION ABOUT THESE SPECIAL POSTERS (do not bid on this set of five posters until you have read the information on the linked page). We will pack these posters between four super heavy 42" x 62" boards that we have purchased for $5 each, meaning that the cost of packaging these ten items is $20. VERY IMPORTANT! These posters will likely cost around $160 total to send within the U.S. via ground UPS (but of course, we will only charge the actual cost of shipping) plus the above stated $20 for the packaging materials. Please bear this shipping cost in mind before placing a bid on these posters (and it would surely cost hundreds of dollars to send them out of the United States, so we ask that no one bid on these posters unless they can accept delivery of them within the U.S.). THESE ARE THE VERY LAST OF THE POSTERS FROM THIS GREAT FIND! There are no more of them that will be auctioned (unless someone who has purchased any from us in the past re-consigns them), so this is the last chance to purchase these! Condition: fair to good. Each of the ten posters has surface paper loss and tiny paper loss around the edges (more so in the corners), and each poster is "lifting" from the board in the corners. There are many creases, scuffs, smudges, and stains scattered throughout the posters (study our super-sized image to see exactly what they are). Some of the posters have far more of these defects than others, and I would say they range from "poor" to "good". Certainly, a talented restorer could perform restoration to these posters, after which the defects would not be very noticeable at all, but please bear in mind the many defects these posters have, and also the cost of shipping, before placing a bid on them.
