John Boorman is an English director from the 1960s to the present. Some of his movies include: Deliverance (nominated for the Best Picture AND Best Director Academy Awards for this film), Hope and Glory (nominated for the Best Picture AND Best Director Academy Awards for this film), Excalibur, and The Tailor of Panama. As of 2021, he is still alive at the age of 88!
