An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27 1/2" x 39 1/2" [70 x 100 cm]) (Learn More)

Fatale Distrazione (released in the U.S. in 1913 as "Bloomer Is Absentminded"), the 1912 Italian silent romantic love triangle comedy short (about a womanizer who gets into trouble when he mixes up the letters that he is sending to the two women he is wooing). Note that the distributor of this movie printed a one-sheet for it that measures 27 1/2" x 39 1/2", and they printed the title in three languages, Italian, French and English. We have seen this on special posters for the Vitagraph Company films from this same time, but this is the first time we have seen it on an Italian one-sheet!
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this film is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we were consigned this poster which is a "country of origin" poster for this Italian movie! Virtually no Italian posters survive from before World War II since apparently there were many paper shortages in Europe during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all posters from before and World War II, and also from during the war, and the first few years afterwards! Also note that this Italian one-sheet measures 27 1/2" x 39 1/2" [70 x 100 cm]. Finally, note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good. The poster has much darkening down the left vertical fold and in the top half of the left blank border. It has some wear on the rest of the folds and creases in the upper right border (see our image).
