An Autographed 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" [11 x 15 cm] Album Page (Learn More) Dorothy Dunbar was an actress in the 1920s. Some of her movies include: Tarzan and the Golden Lion (as Lady Greystoke), Breed of the Sea, When a Dog Loves, The Flaming Crisis, and What Price Love? She was married six times throughout her life, and one of her husbands was heavyweight champion boxer Max Baer. She passed away in 1992 at the age of 90. Important Added Info: This album page has been personally autographed (signed) by Dorothy Dunbar (she added "Mrs. Max Baer", so we know it was signed between 1931 and 1933, when they were married)! It could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display! Note that this is one of many items that was consigned to us by legendary Tarzan collector Phil Petras. Mr. Petras was one of the greatest Tarzan fans ever, and he became good friends with several of the actors who played Tarzan, and over many decades, starting in the 1970s, he would meet with actors and actresses who had appeared in Tarzan movies, sometimes on the sets of films, and sometimes at fan gatherings. Prior to his recent passing, he consigned most of his collection to us, and we are currently auctioning many of his autographed items, sometimes from actors who played Tarzan or Jane, and sometimes from actors who appeared in one or more Tarzan movies (but the items we are auctioning may or may not be from their Tarzan films). Mr. Petras naturally did not have "certificates of authenticity", but we feel certain that the autograph on this item, and every other item we are currently auctioning from his collection, is surely authentic! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
