A 1944 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Style B Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the classic 1937 David Hand Walt Disney animated animation family romantic fairy-tale fantasy musical cartoon ("His first full length feature production"; "In the Marvelous Multiplane Technicolor"; "Behold The Miracle of the Movies! Coming to amaze you, charm you, thrill you!"; "With Eight new songs as catching as 'The Big Bad Wolf.'"; "To thrill you"; "Merriment!"; "Melody!"; "Magic!"; "The dwarfs sing their marching song on the way to work."; "Walt Disney's first full length feature production"; "The show sensation of the generation!"; "Wondrously filmed in all the glories of the marvelous multiplane Technicolor"; "The Screen's Supreme Thrill! 1,000 artists worked three years to give you this once-in-a-lifetime show!... A full hour and a half of the most enthralling entertainment you ever experienced... truly the miracle in motion pictures!") featuring the voices of Adriana Caselotti (in the title role as Snow White), Harry Stockwell (as the Prince), Lucille La Verne, Moroni Olsen, and Stuart Buchanan. Note that this movie is always referred to as a "1937" movie, but it actually only had a limited opening in December 1937 (no doubt to qualify for the Oscars), and then it had its wide opening in February 1938. But because it is always referred to as being from 1937, we refer to it that way as well (and of course, it is technically correct). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that the NSS number on the lobby cards and one-sheet for this re-release are from 1943, and since that is all we had ever seen from this re-release, we assumed that this was the year the re-release occurred. But apparently, those were printed at the end of 1943, and the re-release did not occur until 1944, because this pressbook, which has a 1944 copyright on the back cover, says on the cover "Millions will see it for the first time in 1944!", so technically, this is a 1944 re-release, even though the NSS numbers on the posters and lobby cards are from 1943 (this actually happened quite a bit over the years). Condition: good. Note that there is some brown paper tape on the back of the middle of the right border and three pieces of masking tape on the back of the upper part of the left border, all mending tears. There are faint tape stains in the middle of the top border, creases, smudges, and some tears around the edges of the poster, and some creases and faint smudges throughout the poster. Certainly, any talented restorer could paperback this poster and repair its many minor defects, after which, it would look great (and I think the poster displays pretty well just as it is)!
