An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Just Pals, the 1920 John Ford (billed as "Jack Ford") silent romantic love triangle melodrama (about a small town shiftless man who can't hold a job, and he loves a pretty girl, who loves him, but knows she is better off with the stable bank teller; the shiftless man rescues an orphan boy, and they become great friends, but they are "just pals"; it turns out the bank teller was embezzling from the bank, and the shiftless guy catches him and he is given a reward, and with it, he buys a farm, which he lives on with his new wife and their adopted son) starring Buck Jones, Helen Ferguson, Georgie Stone (billed as "George Stone"), Duke R. Lee, and William Buckley. Note that John Ford had worked for Universal in the 1910s, but his contract expired right before this, and he signed with William Fox, and this was his first picture for Fox!
