Toller Hecht Auf Krummer Tour (released in the U.S. in 1963 as "The Phony American"), the 1961 Akos Rathonyi German military comedy ("SOUND OFF for a fun filled military masquerade"; "A barracks full of problems caused by a cute babe with no respect for rules and regulations!"; "Based on a novel by Heinz Gross and Egon G. Schleinitz") starring William Bendix (billed as "Bill Bendix"), Christine Kaufmann, Michael Hinz, Ron Randell (billed as "Guest Star Ron Randell"), Walter Gross, and Garry Marshall. Note that this 1961 movie was released in the U.S. in 1963, and that it was titled "The Phony American", no doubt an attempt to play off the success of the then-current release starring Marlon Brando, "The Ugly American"!
