Swiss People's Party (Schweizerische Volkspartei or SVP) is a national-conservative and right-wing populist political party in Switzerland which originated in 1971. It is currently the largest party in the Federal Assembly.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster references a 2002 referendum concerning 1300 tons of surplus gold reserves at the National Bank, mainly from pre-war, unclaimed Jewish deposits, which was valued at 20 billion Swiss Francs. The surplus had to be redistributed and the SVP argued that it was reserves built by the people and should be used for the social security system, while other parties wanted part of these assets to go to humanitarian causes (SVP lost the vote).
