An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Maisie Was a Lady, the 1941 Edwin L. Marin romantic comedy ("'Blonde Bonfire' Maisie is in society now!"; the fourth in the popular Maisie Ravier series) starring Ann Sothern (in the title role as Maisie Ravier), Lew Ayres, Maureen O'Sullivan, C. Aubrey Smith, Joan Perry, and Edward Ashley. Note that Joan Perry had been a former model who was discovered by Columbia head Harry Cohn. He put her in a bunch of movies, and then married her, and in 1941, she retired. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 insert posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 insert posters (note that most post-1970 inserts were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those inserts). Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has a 3" tear at bottom center and some smudges and scuffs scattered in the poster, more so in the yellow background areas and in the borders.
