From the 1880s to 1909, it was known as Concert Parisien and was an important venue to perform in for the artists of that period. Felix Mayol was a French singer and entertainer who made his debut at Concert Parisien, and when he became rich and famous, he purchased and renamed the establishment. It became a music hall in 1914 and in 1934, it began to specialize in nude reviews.
