An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) King of the Underworld, the 1939 Lewis Seiler female medical doctor gangster crime thriller ("Don't kill this killer! Bring him back alive!"; "Cornered! Cringing in fear stands the King of Killers!... Useless the gun at his hip. He's trapped by a daring woman's trick!"; "'Let me go! I'm a doctor! What do you want of me?'"; "'Get smart, sister! We can do business together!'"; "He was too tough to die, this ruthless dictator of crime... until this daring woman doctor gambled her life that medicine would win where bullets had failed!"; "When she double-crosses the king of double-crossers it's excitement with the silencers off!"; "Humphrey Bogart now blasts his way to stardom as the ruthless, thrilling King of the Underworld"; "The super-gangster of 'Angels With Dirty Faces' in his most ruthless role"; about a female doctor in a small town who is forced to help a notorious gangster) starring Humphrey Bogart, Kay Francis, James Stephenson, John Eldredge, and Jessie Busley. Note that this was a remake of the 1935 Paul Muni movie, "Dr. Socrates", except the sex of the doctor was changed to female for this remake! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. There are tiny pinholes around the edges of the card. There was a single tiny pinhole in Bogart's eye, but someone put a piece of masking tape over the back of that pinhole (as well as over the back of the other pinholes), and they are truly not very noticeable. There are a few minor creases in the blank borders. The card has darkened slightly, typical of Warner Bros. "linen" cards of this period, but overall it has survived in better-than-average condition compared to the many other Warner Bros. cards I have seen from this era! Learn More about condition grades
