An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Lobby Card (Learn More) Too Many Millions, the 1918 James Cruze silent inheritance romantic comedy melodrama (based on the play 'Someone and Somebody' by Porter Emerson Browne; about a young man who inherits many millions, and then a beautiful woman, whose father was cheated by the young man's benefactor, shows up wanting the money back, and the young man agrees to give it to her, but all the money has been stolen from him, and the two set out to recover it, and in their hunt, they end up in a hotel that burns down, and they survive, but to avoid scandal, they get married, and they get the money back, but aren't sure it will bring them happiness!) starring Wallace Reid, Ora Carew, Tully Marshall, Charles Ogle, James Neill, Winifred Greenwood, and Noah Beery Sr.. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a single lobby card from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this 8x10 lobby card! Note that, in the early days of movie making, when lobby cards were first made (around 1915), studios would issue sets of the cards in two sizes; the regular 11" x 14" size, and a smaller 8" x 10" size. The cards were identical in every way except for the different size. This practice continued through the early 1920s, at which point the studios abandoned the smaller lobby cards, likely because theaters either ordered 11" x 14" lobby cards or 8" x 10" stills, and did not order enough of the 8" x 10" lobby cards to justify them continuing to make them.
