Blystone musical romantic comedy ("Music by Rudolf Friml and other famous composers"; "Screen play by Gertrude Pourcell and Robert Harari"; about jewel thieves who pretend to be talent agents and take a wonderful unknown opera singer to a Hollywood party, so that when he sings, everyone will be distracted, and they can rob expensive jewels; also at the party is an aspiring opera composer, who happens to be young and beautiful, and after many adventures, her and the singer find love and success) starring Nino Martini (real life opera singer with the Metropolitan Opera), Joan Fontaine (her sixth movie, and her third starring role!), Alan Mowbray, Billy Gilbert, Alan Hale Sr., Grant Mitchell, Erik Rhodes, Lee Patrick, and Romo Vincent. Note that in the 1930s, movie theaters tried to bring real life opera stars into movies, and of course, they tailored the parts so that they would do a lot of singing. Nino Martini was one of these, and he only appeared in a handful of movies, including this one! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 27" x 40" [69 x 102 cm]. Also note that this poster has been kraftbacked, which means it was backed onto a brown paper soon after it was printed (this process is called "kraft-backing", and posters with it are called "kraft-backed"). One could have it professionally removed from the kraft paper and linenbacked, and it would look great! Condition: good. Some of the edges were trimmed from the poster. After the poster was mounted onto the paper, some of the borders of the poster were folded over the front and glued down. There are a few pinholes around the edges and there was a small tear at upper right. A restorer can remove the poster from the paper and properly linenback it, after which it will look great.
