A 1953 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) The Bride of Frankenstein, the classic 1935 James Whale Universal monster horror thriller sequel ("The Monster Demands a Mate!"; "The monster thriller"; "Who will be The Bride of Frankenstein. Who will dare?"; the second of the Universal Frankenstein movies, and the only example I am aware of where a sequel is clearly superior to the original movie!; this is James Whale's masterpiece, and almost everyone agrees it is among the finest movies ever made, regardless of genre) starring Boris Karloff (as the Frankenstein monster), Colin Clive (as Dr. Henry Frankenstein), Valerie Hobson (as the bride of Dr. Frankenstein), Elsa Lanchester (in the title role as the bride of the Frankenstein monster, and also as Mary Shelley!), Una O'Connor, Ernest Thesiger (as Dr. Pretorius), E.E. Clive, O.P. Heggie, John Carradine, Dwight Frye (as Karl), Gavin Gordon, and Neil Fitzgerald NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. brown tape on the back of the card that has caused some slight "raised" areas along the bottom and in the middle of the top edge of the card; creases and some minor smudges and scuffs throughout the card (more so around the edges from the tape on the back); tiny tack hole at upper center in Karloff's eyebrow as well as a tack hole in the right of the top blank border and a pair of staple holes in the bottom blank corners (with a 1/2" tear in the lower right corner from rough removal) Learn More about condition grades
