An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Double-Sided One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 40") (Learn More) American Beauty, the 1999 Sam Mendes (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) middle-aged-man-with-serious-issues melodrama ("...look closer"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award; about a dad who doesn't care about anything, an overzealous mom, and a "nice guy" next door drug dealer of a neighbor) starring Kevin Spacey (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Annette Bening (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Thora Birch, Allison Janney, Peter Gallagher, Mena Suvari, Wes Bentley, Chris Cooper, and Scott Bakula NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a double-sided poster. In the 1990s movie posters were sometimes made in double-sided versions (for use in light boxes). If we do not note that a poster is double-sided (as this is), then it is single-sided. Note that the image on the reverse is a mirror image of the image on the front! Note that this poster was never machine folded. Most movie posters from before 1980 were machine folded immediately after printing. After 1980, it quickly became standard for posters to never be folded, and were shipped to theaters rolled in tubes. But this made it far more likely for posters to pick up minor (or major) defects, and it can be difficult to find an unfolded poster from the 1980s in excellent condition.
