An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Chapter #6 (The Lion's Claws) One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 28" x 41" [71 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) King of the Circus, the 1920 J.P. McGowan Universal silent circus adventure serial ("Oh, Boy! What A Thriller!!"; "The Greatest Serial of All Time"; "It's a Universal!") starring Eddie Polo, Corrine Porter, Kittoria Beveridge, Harry Madison, Charles Fortune, and J.P. McGowan. Note that oddly we could not find anything about this serial, beyond the cast. The rare one-sheets we have auctioned have great images, both with circus themes and with underwater chase scenes, so we would love to know more about this serial. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this is a "lost" serial film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. We have never auctioned one from this particular chapter in all our years of auctioning! Not only that, but other than another one-sheet, which was from chapter 3, we only previously auctioned some lobby cards and a herald, and nothing else! Also note that this one-sheet measures 28" x 41" [71 x 104 cm]. Condition: very good. The poster has the tiniest of paper loss at the middle crossfold and 1" of separation and tiny paper loss at the bottom crossfold. It has separation in the bottom quarter of the vertical fold and someone put two pieces of tape on the back of part of that. There are vertical tears in the left and right of the top and bottom folds and some creases and faint smudges around the edges. Other than the above, the poster is in really nice condition, especially considering that it is a century old! Learn More about condition grades
