An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 24" x 33 1/2" [61 x 85 cm]) (Learn More)

La Brigade Sauvage (released in the U.S. in 1948 as "Savage Brigade"), the 1939 Marcel L'Herbier French World War I (WWI) romantic love triangle melodrama (about a Russian general who is married, but is supposed to be in a duel with an officer whose wife was murdered, but the duel is called off because soldiers are needed for World War I, and then 20 years later, the main characters run into each other again!) starring Vera Korene, Charles Vanel, Roger Duchesne, Lisette Lanvin, Youcca Troubetzkov (billed as "Troubetzkoy"), and Jean Galland. Note that this movie was released in France and other European countries in 1939 and 1940, but was not released in the U.S. until 1948, because of World War II.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "pre-War" Belgian poster. Prior to World War II, Belgian posters were much larger than the ones from after the war, and they are extremely rare (because during WWII, there was a massive paper shortage in Belgium, and they took virtually every poster and map, and printed new posters on the backs of them. Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. The poster has some light creases in portions of the folds and there is some tiny staining in the upper right blank border. It is otherwise in generally nice condition.
