Date Sold 10/24/2023 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 5 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) El Hombre y el Monstruo (released in the U.S. as "The Man and the Monster"), the 1959 Rafael Baledon Mexican werewolf monster horror thriller (about a man who makes a pact with the devil to become a great pianist and he kills his rival, but the pianist turns into a monster whenever he performs) starring Enrique Rambal, Abel Salazar, Martha Roth, Ofelia Guilmain, and Ana Laura Baledon Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned these lobby cards (or ANY U.S. movie paper for this Mexican movie!). Note that these are U.S. lobby cards for a Mexican movie, and the exhibitor of this movie showed the movie primarily to Spanish speaking audiences, so the cards were printed in Spanish. In addition, they are from a set of lobby cards that consisted of a stock lobby card with an inset area that was 7" x 8 1/2", and they glued eight different 7x8.5s on to the stock lobby cards, thus inexpensively creating an eight card set! Condition: very good. Some have a few minor edge defects (see our images). The cards are otherwise in pretty nice condition and they have no tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they never have had any restoration of any kind! Learn More about condition grades
