Some of his roles included films such as Miracle of the White Stallions, The Valley of Gwangi, and Beneath The Planet of the Apes. He passed away in 1991 at the age of 57. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by James Franciscus! This item was auctioned at a TCM/Bonham's auction in 2019, and it was sent by James Franciscus, who was William Wellman's son-in-law (he was married to Kitty Wellman), and it was a mock "citation" given to Wellman at his 56th birthday party in 1952 for his "gallantry in marital warfare". Since the items in the auction were consigned by William Wellman Jr., so we are 100% certain this letter was handwritten and signed by James Franciscus, although the auction did not provide a certificate of authenticity. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
