A Linenbacked French Advertising Poster (measures 42 3/4" x 63" [109 x 160 cm]) (Learn More) Nuxy, the circa 1920s French alcohol liquor advertising poster promoting the purchase of a brand of walnut flavored aperitif by Eau de Noix Serres, and featuring Favre art of a bird of prey squeezing a green walnut into a bottle of the product. Artist: Favre Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had some minor wear on the folds and some faint creases and scuffs scattered in the solid colored areas. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. At some point after it was backed, it came in contact with moisture, and it was also roughly handled. It is now rippled in some areas and the rice paper is "lifting" from the linen in all four corners, plus it has a large scratch mark and creases in the upper left black background area. Obviously, restoration could be performed, and the poster could be re-backed, but bear this all in mind before bidding on this poster. Learn More about condition grades
