An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) East Lynne, the 1931 Frank Lloyd romantic love triangle melodrama ("The Heart Throb of Humanity"; "Soul-Sweeping!... ...Heart-Tugging!"; "Settings by Joseph Urban"; "Fox Movietone Production"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; based on the book by Mrs. Henry Wood; about a woman who throws away her unloving marriage for an affair with a dashing captain, and pays the price) starring Ann Harding, Clive Brook, Conrad Nagel, Cecilia Loftus, Beryl Mercer, and Wallie Albright. Note that there had been twelve silent movies based on this book, but after this sound version, the book was never remade again as a movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned three lobby cards from this movie, and we have NEVER auctioned this scene card! Note that there is a stamp on the back that reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF Michael R. Hawks", who most would consider the premier lobby card collector and expert in the world (and he is still an active collector, looking for the last few items he needs!). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good to fine. This is a rare Fox linen lobby card (they only did it for a very short time). It has darkened slightly, typical of linen lobby cards, but is otherwise in excellent condition.
