What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had some faint creases and scuffs scattered in the image, with a diagonal crease at top left and some small tears in the left border. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Also, the poster was slightly roughly handled, and there are now creases around the edges of the excess linen, but it does not affect the poster.
