An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More)

When Ladies Meet, the 1941 Robert Z. Leonard romantic love triangle marriage comedy ("4 Great Stars in the gay comedy of married flirts!"; "Hollywood parade of stars in gay romance"; "Screen play by S.K. Lauren and Anita Loos"; about a female author with a boyfriend who gets romantically involved with her married publisher) starring Joan Crawford, Robert Taylor, Greer Garson, Herbert Marshall, Spring Byington, Rafael Storm, and Mona Barrie. Note that this is a remake of the 1933 movie of the same name starring Ann Harding and Myrna Loy.

Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this insert, and that was 11 years ago. The buyer of that poster had it linenbacked and has now reconsigned it to us after all these years, so this is still the only example we have ever auctioned!

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had minor wear on the folds, with scuffs scattered in the dark colored areas at the bottom, with a few entering some of the lettering. There was a piece of yellowed tape in the lower left border. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
