An Original Vintage Hardcover Movie Poster Book (measures 9" x 11") (Learn More)

Movie Poster Book, the 1979 Steve Schapiro & David Chierichetti illustrated book featuring 95 full-color pages. It is the 1st edition hardcover in dust jacket. published by Dutton. The first 13 pages provide a brief history movie posters. The remaining pages contain full-color images of 119 movie posters (many of which garner a full-page image!) w/ a brief explanation of most of the images! This was the first real quality book devoted to solely movie posters, and it created many collectors! The book has been out of print since shortly after the book's publication (this hardcover edition in dust jacket was a limited print run and it quickly sold out, and while the softcover edition can be purchased from many sources [including eMoviePoster.com!], this hardcover edition is nearly impossible to find)!

Condition: very good to fine. There is scuffing on the dust jacket and the price area on the inside of the jacket was diagonally clipped off, but otherwise the book is in pretty nice condition!
