An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Anton Grot was a famous German artist and Hollywood art director from the 1910s to the 1950s. He provided art direction for several movies including: Little Caesar, Svengali, The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex, and Rhapsody in Blue. Grot passed away in 1974 at the age of 90. Artist: Anton Grot Important Added Info: Note that this still (which is a production drawing for a movie that we can't identify) shows artwork of a long line of prisoners being marched into a prison, and walking under several gallows. The name "Anton Grot" is written in pencil on the back of the still, and we believe the art to be by Mr. Grot. If anyone knows more about this still, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. Condition: fair to good. There are pencil lines in the center and right of the image. They could have been placed there by the person who created the still, or they could have been added long afterward. The still has a 3" vertical crease with tiny surface paper loss in the bottom center and some smudges around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
