An Original Vintage Unfolded Circus Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 43" [70 x 109 cm]) (Learn More)

Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus, the 1969 circus poster ("The Greatest Show on Earth") advertising the appearance of the combined circus acts, and featuring great art of a lion and a tiger. The modern version of the circus started in 1919 when the Barnum & Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth, a circus created by P. T. Barnum and James Anthony Bailey, was merged with the Ringling Bros. World's Greatest Shows. With weakening attendance and high operating costs, the circus closed on May 21st, 2017 after 146 years.

Condition: good to very good. The poster has been overprinted above the lower edge and the printer left a few ink smudges under the lion (see our image). It is otherwise in pretty nice condition.
