An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Cost, the 1920 Harley Knoles silent marriage infidelity melodrama ("David Graham Phillips' greatest story") starring Violet Heming, Edwin Mordant, Jane Jennings, Ralph Kellard, and Edward Arnold (billed as "Ed Arnold"). Note that Edward Arnold was a New York stage actor who started making movies in 1916 at the age of 26, and after making a handful of movies through 1920, he returned to the stage. But Hollywood called in 1932, and he became a major success, even though he was over 40, and he was even the star of several movies! Also note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good to fine.
