An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Charles Starrett, the 1952-53 Columbia stock posters that Columbia printed for theaters to use when they showed a Charles Starrett western, with a box in the center that was left blank. The theater owners would either hand-write the titles of the specific movie they were showing, or the movie information for a specific movie would be overprinted in the blank area. Note that the 1952 stock poster has a great full-color artwork image of Charles Starrett by Glenn Cravath, and Columbia created a 1953 stock poster with the same image, but two-color. There was also an earlier 1945 six-sheet with a duotone image of Starrett, but because it is from seven years earlier, we list it separately. Artist: Glenn Cravath Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds, with some pinholes, tears, small paper loss, and small stains around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
