An Original 1963 Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 11 1/2" x 16" [29 x 41 cm]; 17 pages). Also included is a herald that has one page. (Learn More) Mondo Cane, the classic 1962 (released in the U.S. in 1963) Paolo Cavara, Franco Prosperi & Gualtiero Jacopetti Italian sexploitation bizarre human oddity documentary ("Overpowering, fascinating - often shocking!"; "enter a hundred incredible worlds where the camera has never gone before!"; "A Masterpiece in Film Making"; "All the scenes you will see in this film are true and taken only from life. If often they are shocking it is because there are many astounding and even unbelievable things in this world."; featuring sex orgies, shark attacks, drunken Germans!, and a smoking chicken) narrated by Stefano Sibaldi. This was the very first movie of its kind, and was excellent, but unfortunately, its success spawned a huge number of imitators, most of which were exploitative and pretty worthless! One could make a convincing argument that all of today's "reality" TV owes a huge debt to this movie! Important Added Info: Note that when studios would prepare pressbooks they would often include a sample of the herald. Most often, the herald is no longer still with the pressbook. Sometimes, the herald by itself will sell for almost as much as the rest of the entire pressbook! This pressbook contains the original herald that was included with it, and it is pictured next to the pressbook below.
