An Original Vintage Theatrical Laminated Movie Lobby Card #7 (11x14; LC; measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Flight to Mars, the 1951 Lesley Selander science fiction (sci-fi) outer space thriller ("The Most Fantastic Expedition Ever Conceived by Man!"; "Fifty years into the future!"; "What will they find?"; "Has science solved the mightiest mystery of the universe?"; "You'll want to turn back.... but you can't!") starring Marguerite Chapman, Cameron Mitchell, Arthur Franz, John Litel, and Morris Ankrum. Note that the producers of the movie guessed that a real life flight to Mars would take place in 2001. Of course, this never happened, but now, thanks to Elon Musk, it may happen just a couple of decades past that date! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a group of 11 laminated lobby cards that were consigned to us from a collector who had them professionally laminated in 1982, by a company in Rhode Island that did lamination map work for the U.S. Government. Many collectors do not like laminated lobby cards, but, WHEN IT IS DONE BY A TALENTED PROFESSIONAL, they stay EXACTLY as they were prior to lamination, even, as in the case of these cards, after decades, which would indicate that lamination surely DOES an excellent job of protecting the cards from any deterioration or aging. I am looking at these 11 cards in person as I write this, and all look exactly like they did when they were laminated so many years ago! In any event, know that it is quite likely that there is no way to reverse this process, so PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS LOBBY CARD UNLESS YOU WANT TO PURCHASE A LAMINATED LOBBY CARD! Condition: good.
