American Cinematographer ("For Amateur and Professional Photographers"; "International Journal of Film and Video Production Techniques"; "The Motion Picture Camera Magazine"), the monthly professional journal of production techniques. It began in 1920, shortly after the American Society of Cinematographers was founded in 1919, and at first it was a news letter, first biweekly, and then monthly. In 1929, it became a standard magazine. In the 1930s, it was aimed at both amateurs and professionals, but over time, it solely focused on professionals. It continued to be published through the decades, and it now has a digital edition! We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them.
