The black African American actor was often billed as "Sam 'Deacon' McDaniel". He was the brother of Hattie McDaniel. Some of his movies include: Brother Orchid, I was Framed, and Carmen Jones. He passed away in 1962 at the age of 76. Important Added Info: Note that this contract has been personally autographed (signed) by Sam McDaniel! It is embarrassing that the studio misspelled Mr. McDaniel's name as "Sam McDaniels" (and Mr. McDaniel signed the contract as "Sam 'Deacon' McDaniel").
