An Original Vintage Linenbacked Italian Advertising Poster (measures 27" x 39 3/4") (Learn More) Panizza, the 1938 Italian poster advertising Panizza brand hats and featuring art by Noel Tolmar of a man in a fedora smoking a long pipe. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Noel Tolmar Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had small paper loss in the left of the top border and a scattered series of scuffs, small tears, and a few dots of paper loss vertically beneath that paper loss. There were some smudges and stains in the top of the poster and a few scattered in the white background areas. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
