Date Sold 3/6/2018Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Autographed Letter (measures 7 1/4" x 10 1/2" [18 x 27 cm]) (Learn More) Richard Kiley was an actor from the 1950s to the 1990s. He was a very fine dramatic actor who had success in the 1950s with movies like The Blackboard Jungle and The Phenix City Story. In 1966, he displayed his previously hidden wonderful singing voice when he got the role of a lifetime in Broadway's "The Man of La Mancha", and Hollywood, in its eternal stupidity, cast Peter O'Toole in the Hollywood movie based on the show, instead of Kiley, because he wasn't a "big enough" name! He passed away in 1999 at the age of 76. Important Added Info: Note that this letter has been personally autographed (signed) by Richard Kiley! Our consignor is a longtime dealer who acquired this signed item among many other purchases in his inventory, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
