An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More)

Smashing the Vice Trust, the 1937 Melville Shyer exploitation melodrama (apparently, a pseudo-documentary expose of the vice business, although it is likely the viewers of this movie had less than noble interests in watching it!) starring Willy Castello, Veola Vonn, Augusta Anderson, John Belmont, and Selmer Jackson. Note that this movie was re-edited by director Shyer into "Confessions of a Vice Baron" in 1943. Melville Shyer spent many years in Hollywood working as an assistant director for 143 mostly low-budget movies between 1930 and 1962, and in the 1930s and 1940s, he directed seven low-budget exploitation movies like this one. His son, Charles Shyer, has had major success as a Hollywood director, directing such movies as The Parent Trap, Father of the Bride, and Baby Boom!
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that we, and everyone else who views this poster, is certainly intrigued by the woman contortionist at top left who is wearing a strange uniform and is in a very unusual pose! If anyone knows more about how this relates to this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this three-sheet was printed in 1 section.

Condition: good to very good. The poster has tiny brown stains on the back of the folds that were on the outside when it was fully folded and a few others scattered throughout. It has a few pieces of tape on the back of small tears. Otherwise, the poster is in pretty nice condition.
