An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Bela Lugosi was one of the top two horror actors from the 1930s (along with Boris Karloff) in movies such as Dracula, Island of Lost Souls, The Wolf Man, The Body Snatcher, and the Black Cat. His portrayal of Dracula was so memorable, that it caused movie makers to only want him to play similar roles, and in the minds of many horror fans, there is no other Dracula BUT Bela Lugosi! Note that Mr. Lugosi was born in what was then Austria-Hungary, but is now Romania. AND Gloria Holden was an actress from the 1930s to the 1950s. She is best remembered for her starring role in "Dracula's Daughter". Some of her movies include: Hawaii Calls, A Thing Called Love and Dream Wife AND Gloria Stuart was an actress from the 1930s to the 2000s. She was a leading star of the 1930s, in movies such as The Invisible Man and The Million Dollar Hotel. She made a triumphant return to movies in Titanic (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film) in 1997!
Important Added Info: In 1936, a luncheon was held at Universal City to honor Carl Laemmle, President of Universal Pictures, on his 30th year in the motion picture business! Gloria Holden was filming "Dracula's Daughter", and she was seated at a table with Gloria Stuart, who was filming "The Girl on the Front Page". Bela Lugosi came over to say hello, and a studio photographer took this great candid photo. Note that, due to the cameras of the time, the waiter behind them looks like a blur, because he was moving exactly when the photo was snapped.

Condition: good. There is discoloration in the top of the background of the still, and some in the bottom left and bottom right (see our images). There is some yellow staining near the center of the left border that slightly extends into the background.
