A Limited Edition Art Print (signed by artist Charles Boyer; 1067/1800; measures 19" x 26" [48 x 66 cm]) (Learn More) Charles Boyer was an artist from the 1950s to the 2020s. He accepted a "temporary" job at Disneyland as a portrait sketch artist in 1960 and remained there for 39 years! "Boyer had the unique distinction of having been Disneyland's first full-time artist and eventually was elevated to become Disneyland's master illustrator. In his work he captured the unique and fanciful spirit of Disney characters and theme park environments" (this information comes directly from a statement issued by the Disney Company after Boyer's passing in 2021, at the age of 86). Boyer was made a Disney Legend in 2005, the equivalent of membership in the company's Hall of Fame, with a window on Main Street in his name. Artist: Charles Boyer Important Added Info: Note that this art print (which depicts Disney's famous Percheron horses outside of Cinderella's Castle) has been personally autographed (signed) by Charles Boyer and hand-numbered 1067/1800! This is a very rare uncut printer's test art print (often referred to as a "printer's proof")! Before a poster was printed in large quantities, the printer would print a limited number of posters as "test" posters. Because they needed to be shown to people at the studio, people in the art department, the stars, etc, they would print a number of test posters and distribute them to these people. Some of them would be fully trimmed, but often they would leave the color chart on the left edge of many of the posters, which added an extra inch to the width of the poster (which explains why the poster measures 19" x 26" [48 x 66 cm]). Once these printer's test posters were shown to the various people in a position to "OK" them, the printer would print the full print run of the posters. Not only is a printer's test poster far more rare than a regular poster, but it is also 100% genuine as there is no fear of purchasing a reproduction! Condition: very good to fine. The limited edition art print is in excellent condition! Learn More about condition grades
