An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded German Movie Poster (measures 16 3/4" x 24" [43 x 61 cm]) (Learn More)

Regimentsmusik (literally translates to "Regimental Band"), the 1945 Arthur Maria Rabenalt German romantic musical melodrama starring Heidemarie Hatheyer, Friedrich Domin, Siegfried Breuer, Kurt Muller-Graf, and Gustav Waldau. Note that this movie was made in 1945, and programs and posters were printed then, but the movie was not released until after the war ended, probably in 1950. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was created by a local German theater showing this film. Any German movie paper from this film is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned a single German movie poster from this movie (only one German program) until we were consigned this poster (which is a "country of origin" poster for this German movie!). Note also that this is a very rare poster from Germany during World War II. There are very few German movie posters from during World War II in existence (because of the massive paper shortages in Germany during World War II), and most of those few are in museums. It is likely that German posters from during the Nazi era are even more rare than those from before that era, because most of those that survived the war would have been destroyed right after the war!

Condition: very good.
