An Original 1934 (from the first release of this movie in Germany) Vintage German Film Program (measures 8 3/4" x 11 1/2" [22 x 29 cm]; 8 pages) (Learn More) Queen Christina, the 1933 Rouben Mamoulian Sweden royalty doomed romance romantic melodrama ("The Secret Loves of Queen Christina"; about a Swedish Queen who falls in love with a Spaniard, but is forced to marry her cousin) starring Greta Garbo (in the title role as Queen Christina; "Garbo returns"; "Triumphant return to the screen"), John Gilbert, Ian Keith, Lewis Stone, Elizabeth Young, C. Aubrey Smith, and Reginald Owen. Note that this John Gilbert sound movie, like all his sound movies, completely dispels the myth that he had a high-pitched speaking voice, which ended his career! Actually, he had a fine speaking voice, and there is much speculation as to what it was that actually ended his career, and that can be found in various places on the Internet, but it was definitely not his voice! Also, note that after making four movies in 1931, Garbo took an 18 month break before making this her next movie, and so it was advertised as her "triumphant return to the screen". Important Added Info: Note that we have provided an image of four of the pages of this 8-page program (we did this by opening it and laying it flat and photographing the front and back cover together, and two of the interior pages together). You can see the four of the eight pages, and can well determine the exact condition of it from our super-sized image, but realize that there are four pages you are not seeing. But of course this means that the front cover appears in the top right of our image, but normally, the program would be folded down the center and you would view the cover by itself (and it will be sent folded as was originally intended).
