An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

The Run-Around, the 1931 William James Craft romantic mistaken identity marriage wedding comedy ("All in Technicolor"; "Vital Drama Gay Comedy of New York's New Broadway"; "Color Perfection at last Achieved in Startling Magnificence on the Screen"; "100% Technicolor Drama"; "100% new Technicolor"; "Startling! Amazing!"; a story of a chorus girl who wants to convince a millionaire to marry her, and he shows up and proposes, but his proposal involves a diamond bracelet and a key to an apartment, and he doesn't want to get married there, he wants to seduce her!) starring Mary Brian, Joseph Cawthorn, Marie Prevost, Johnny Hines, and Geoffrey Kerr. Note that this 1931 movie is advertised as being "All in Technicolor". Two-strip Technicolor had been invented in the early 1920s, so we don't know why this one movie was singled out to be advertised in this way. Perhaps they couldn't find any other angle with which to promote it! Four years later, "Becky Sharp" was the first three-strip Technicolor movie (which greatly improved on the two-strip process)

Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned four lobby cards from this movie, and only one example of this title card. That title card has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example we have ever auctioned! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good to very good. There are pinholes in the corners, stains in the bottom border, and a 1/2" tear in the right border that was repaired with tape from the back. Otherwise, the card is in pretty nice condition.
