An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Spider Woman Strikes Back, the 1946 Arthur Lubin horror thriller ("Mistress of menace!") starring Gale Sondergaard (in the title role "As the Spider Woman!"), Kirby Grant, Brenda Joyce, Milburn Stone, and Rondo Hatton (billed as "Rondo Hatton as Mario... The Monster-Man!"). Note that Rondo Hatton was an actor from the 1930s to the 1940s. He was afflicted with acromegaly which is "a chronic disease of adults marked by enlargement of the bones of the extremities, face, and jaw that is caused by overactivity of the pituitary gland". Hollywood saw in Hatton the chance to make money by exploiting the way the disease had distorted his features, and for several years prior to his death, he was a villain in low-budget horror movies. Condition: fair to good. The poster was folded somewhat oddly, resulting in fold and edge damage (especially along the vertical foldline and lower horizontal fold and several areas are repaired with tape from the back). It is otherwise "mostly all there" and after proper restoration the very rare poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
