An Original Vintage Australian Exhibitor Magazine (measures 9 3/4" x 12" [25 x 30 cm]; 14 pages) (Learn More) Paramount Service, the Australian exhibitor magazine published by Paramount Pictures in the 1920s and 1930s (at least, because we have seen issues between 1922 and 1931), which was sent to Australian theaters that showed Paramount movies. Each issue contained information and illustrated stories on then-current Paramount releases. The issues we have seen from the 1920s have poster images (of the U.S. posters), movie synopses, and much more. The issues we have seen from the 1930s have fewer pages, but they sometimes include Australian poster images. Much of the information and images contained in these exhibitor magazines may not have been re-published since its first appearance in these magazines. Note that we know for certain there was an English version of this exhibitor magazine, and there likely was also a U.S. version. Important Added Info: Note that this issue has a great 8-page full-color section included (which includes a great half-page ad for the four Marx Brothers in "The Cocoanuts"). According to the page numbers, it would seem that two pages are missing, but it also seems quite possible that there are no pages missing, and that the pages were simply misnumbered. Note that examples of this Australian exhibitor magazine have always been incredibly rare. Until now, when we were consigned 16 different magazines, we had only previously auctioned ONE other magazine in all our other years of auctioning. The 16 magazines are in 16 separate auctions. Also note that we have provided a picture of the front cover of the magazine, and also pictures of one or more interior two-page spreads (but we didn't make much effort to find the best ones!). These images should greatly help you judge the overall condition of the magazine. Condition: very good. As noted above, the numbers on the pages would indicate that two pages are missing. But we think it is simply a case that the person doing the numbering simply misnumbered the pages (which is made all the more likely because this issue has a special added 8-page full-color section, so it is not a regular issue). Of course, if there ARE two pages missing, then it is in "fair" condition, but we don't believe it is. Learn More about condition grades
