Some of his roles include: The Steve Allen Show, The Love Boat and St. Elsewhere. He was an early host of the Tonight Show, and he is said to have composed more than 7,400 songs, including: This Could Be the Start of Something Big, The Gravy Waltz, and Bowery Blues.
