In June 1911, Fabre Line steamships began trans-Atlantic service to India Point in Providence, Rhode Island, and between 1912 and 1913, the company brought almost 12,000 (mostly Italian and Portuguese) immigrants to Providence's Lonsdale Dock. Tonelli art of a French ship in the middle of an arrow which has a French flag on the tail end and a United States flag at the point of destination!
