An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Queen O'Diamonds, the 1926 Chester Withey silent New York City Broadway jewel thief mistaken identity crime murder melodrama ("Story and Continuity by Fred Myton"; a wacky story of a chorus girl who looks exactly like a Broadway star; when the star is injured, the chorus girl is convinced to take her place; but she doesn't know that the star's husband is a jewel thief, and she gets mixed up in a diamond robbery and a murder, but everything works out in the end) starring Evelyn Brent, Elsa Lorimer, Phillips Smalley, William Bailey, and Theodore von Eltz. Note that the title of this movie does not refer to gambling, as one might guess, but instead refers to the heroine being mixed up with jewel thieves, and the advertising for the movie uses art of multiple queen of diamonds playing cards!

Important Added Info: Note that first release 1926 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good. There is a semi-circular brown stain across the upper center of the card, extending from the background to the right of Brent's face over to the top left playing card image and ending in the yellow background around Brent's credit. There is a small tear in the left of the bottom border that was repaired with tape from the back. There are some faint smudges around the edges and tiny creases in each corner, with a small piece of tape on the back of each corner.
