In 1946, she joined the recently created by Benjamin Britten English Opera Group, and Britten wrote some operas specifically for her to star in! She continued performing through the late 1960s, and then turned to training young singers. She passed away in 2000, at the age of 85. Important Added Info: This cut album page has been personally autographed (signed) by Nancy Evans! Also included is a color two-sided publicity sheet that it could be matted and framed together with! Note that this still is from the collection of Robert J. Fieth. He was born in 1923, and as a teenager, he began writing to celebrities in the 1940s, and continued to do so over several decades, acquiring a collection of over 500 autographed photos (many of which are personalized to him, either as "To Robert J. Fieth", or "To Robert", or "To Bob"). We have been consigned a number of signed photos from this collection, the majority of which were obtained in the 1940s or 1950s! Condition: very good.
