An Autographed 3 1/2" x 5 3/4" [9 x 15 cm] Album Page (Learn More) Stanley Holloway was an actor from the 1920s to the 1970s. Some of his movies include: My Fair Lady (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Brief Encounter, Hamlet, The Lavender Hill Mob, The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes, and In Harm's Way. He passed away in 1982 at the age of 91. Important Added Info: This album page has been personally autographed (signed) by Stanley Holloway! Mr. Holloway wrote two dates on the album page, 1949 and 1977, referring to the two times that he toured Australia and New Zealand. This autograph was obtained during that second tour in 1977, and the collector who acquired the autograph wrote in small letters "7 - 5 - 77" in the bottom left. It could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display! Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
